This site is dedicated to those guys who volunteered to join the United States Navy during the forgotten war. Some called this war the Korean conflict, and some others called it the Korean War. It was for all intents and purposes it was the last military engagement of the United States where patriotism and duty prevailed. I am proud to have served my country.
My name is Dale E. Donnell. I served in the U. S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. I was in the Hospital Corps and held the rank of HM2. My good friend Donald A. Manseau, whom I met in boot camp and discovered we shared the same birthday, and together attended Hospital Corpsman School at Portsmouth, Virginia are still friends to this day. Don also served as a Hospital Corpsman in the U. S. Navy from 1952 - 1956. We currently live about 10 miles from each other in Orange County, California.
In a recent conversation Don and I had, the idea of this site was born. We would like to be in contact with as many of our boot camp shipmates as possible.
The following pages to this site show the names and pictures of those men who were members of companies 382 or 383 from the 4th regiment of the 41st battalion. I am sure none of us look the same as we did 47 years ago. IF YOU RECOGNIZE ANY OF THE NAMES OR FACES SHOWN ON THIS SITE PLEASE CONTACT ME:
